DRC and Data Torque, officially signed the Project Inception Report and the Statement of Work for Phase 1 of the project.

The First Joint Project Governance Meeting for the development of the Bhutan Integrated Taxation System (BITS) took place today, marking a significant milestone in Bhutan’s tax administration modernization efforts. This meeting involved collaboration between the Department of Revenue and Customs (DRC) and Data Torque Limited, a leading tech firm from New Zealand. During the meeting, Director General of DRC, Sonam Jamtsho, and Chief Executive Officer of Data Torque Limited, Mr. Vernon Kay, officially signed the Project Inception Report and the Statement of Work for Phase 1 of the project. This phase aims to deliver the Goods and Services Tax (GST) system by July 2025.
